The removal of a tooth partially or completely covered by the gum
An impacted tooth is a tooth that is partially or totally trapped within the gum. This often occurs with wisdom teeth (3rd molars) when there is not enough space for the tooth to fully erupt.
If you are at significant risk of infection or tooth decay, extraction may be recommended. If necessary, we may refer you to an Oral Surgeon for the extraction of impacted teeth.
